Destined For Greatness COGIC began in 2020 with twelve families praying in a living room, convinced that God had planted something extraordinary in PLEASANTVILLE. Six years later, that same conviction still shapes everything we do.
We're a multi-generational, multi-ethnic congregation — teachers, nurses, students, business owners, and retirees — united by one simple belief: every person carries a God-given calling, and the local church exists to help them discover and walk it out.
We take Scripture seriously, love our city practically, and welcome anyone who walks through our doors, whatever their story.

Meet Our Senior Pastor
Pastor Wayne Derrick Comer II
Pastor Wayne Derrick Comer II, affectionately called "PC" by his congregation, is a dedicated high school English teacher and special education professional, as well as the Senior Pastor of Destined for Greatness COGIC. With a passion for education and a heart for service, PC brings a unique blend of teaching experience, leadership, and commitment to both the classroom and the community.
A combat veteran of the U.S. Army, PC proudly served in Operation Enduring Freedom, further shaping a strong sense of discipline and leadership that transcends into both his educational and pastoral work. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/Special Education from William Paterson University and an Associate of Arts in Communication from Atlantic-Cape Community College.
In addition to his academic and military background, PC is an alumnus of The Washington Center, a prestigious institution that fosters leadership and professional development. He is an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and currently serves as the Youth Department President as well as AIM Chairman for the Eastern Pennsylvania Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ, where he is deeply involved in mentoring and guiding the next generation.
PC is driven by a commitment to personal growth, community service, and empowering others to reach their fullest potential.
